Focusing on healthy, pain free movement should be a primary emphasis for all of us. We may want to load up more weight and beat our friends and hit PRs everyday but it's guaranteed you're going to poop out sooner than later. Ido Portal has very interesting views on movement and it's importance. This is a really interesting take, definitely one to consider.
We will be doing thrusters today for the workout. Jason Khalipa breaks down the thruster for us. I think he knows a thing or two about how to do a thruster (he is always in the top couple of guys in the WORLD at the Crossfit Games year in and year out).
And for those of you who may not know, Jason is huge inspiration to us. We got our start at Jason's gym in fact! Check out one of his performances at the Crossfit Games.
Workout for January 30th, 2014
hand balancing and plank work for 10 minutes...then...
Death by thruster!
This means we will do 1 thruster in the first minute.
Then 2 in the second minute.
Then 3 in the third minute.
And so on and so forth until you can no longer complete the required number of thrusters in the minute.
